User Generated Content Still Rules!

April 28, 2008 – 7:35 am by Todd

I have written what I feel is a hard hitting post on User Generated Content with a affirmation that RawVoice believes in the podcasting space, podcasters and user generated content.

Sadly not all in the space hold this view and have turned their backs on those that helped build their company. [RawVoice Affirmation]

  2. Now, in fairness, two of the above points are not exactly true.

    # We do not put our advertising around their content
    # We never tell podcasters what to do with their shows

You request that we mention blubrry in every show, something which I am getting rather annoyed about, considering I have been sending ceo@rawvoice.com emails for about half a year, not getting any response and have not been offered an ad deal in… oh, about a year or so.

    However,
    # We provide statistic services that are among the best in the space
is true. Your stats do rock. Unfortunatly, however, at least one of said emails consisted of a feature request to make them even better (a really small one as well) which I never got a reply too.

  3. I was unable to find an email message from you in our system. Your email message may have been blocked by our SPAM filters. We do apologize if this was the case.

We do ask that for you to mention Blubrry in your shows, but it is not a requirement. No one is removed from Blubrry or denied the opportunity to participate in advertising deals if they fail to mention Blubrry in their shows.

Another member of the RawVoice team will respond to you regarding ad deals. Many factors determine each opportunity, but I know for sure there are affiliate deals available to all Blubrry members. Some of our latest affiliate offerings are very successful, I would urge you to take a look. http://www.blubrry.com/affiliates/.

We are currently adding new features to the Statistics system. We would love to know what your feature suggestions are so we can better improve the system. I will send you an email following this comment.

  4. I was under the impression that mentioning Blubrry was a requirement, and actually seem to remember reading somewhere that shows were being taken out of the system for this.

I have sent the feature request (a really small one, but one which would be quite useful none the less) in an email.

Thanks for helping me sort this out,
    Cian.
