All of us have very busy lives and the last thing we want to do is waste time in publishing the media that we have worked so hard to create. Over the past six weeks the team has been working very hard on what we are terming premium podcast statistics. Many of you using our Podcast Statistic service have asked for a wide variety of additional reports.
Many of you have noticed the tell tale signs that we have been adding the premium features, by reports that are not available to you in the free statistics system.
While our basic stats package will remain free we want to bring you a much richer data set in the plus package which will be priced at $5.00 a month (three month minimum) or $50.00 a year. We also have 100% branded solutions available as well for those running their own networks you should send Todd a email if you want your own branded solution.
While we will be adding more premium features throughout the summer via inputs of the users of the service, this is what the initial Premium Podcast Statistics will offer above and beyond the already very rich data sets that we provide already for free to community users.
- Full Report of Clients
- Full Report of Referrers
- Full Report of Operating Systems
- Full Report of Geographical Data
- Daily Email Summary
- Episode Trending by Month
- Country Map Reporting
- Audit of Uncounted Request
- Export to Excel Files
- Create Guest Account

We are pleased to announce some new features and changes to Blubrry!
First, the account settings page has changed. We’ve cleaned up the menu options by only providing a link to the Statisticss system (if you’ve filled out an advertising survey) and a link to the new Publisher system.
We’ve developed a new interface called the Publisher for members to manage their podcast(s) listed on Blubrry.com. Over the coming weeks we will be adding a number of features to the Publisher system for Blubrry members to utilize. I can’t get into the details what these new features include, but if you snoop around in the settings section you will find that we’re now asking for your twitter user name.
We’ve received a lot of complaints about home page coverage. We’ve changed the logic for the most recent podcast section to randomly select 4 episodes that have been created in the past few hours. we’re re-randomizing these 4 episodes every 15 minutes. This should provide fair exposure to all of the podcasts listed on Blubrry. Remember, your post has to include media in order for it to be included in the home page. blog posts will no longer be included on the home page.
Please contact us if you are having any problems or have suggestions how we can improve blubrry.

There is a syntactical error in the Podpress code which prevents the “Enable Blubrry Statistics” option from working in Podpress. The code fix have been sent to Dan and will hopefully be included in the next version of Podpress. Instructions how to patch Podpress version 8.6 are available on the RawVoice support site linked below.

The program profile pages have been redesigned on Blubrry! The new design is in response to the feedback we’ve received from the community. The new design focuses on usability.
Examples
We now include a subscribe & share widget on the right column that will make it easier for your audience to find your subscription information. Yahoo and Odeo have been replaced with Google and Microsoft Zune subscription links. The subscribe & share widget includes links to Digg and del.icio.us as well as to your RSS feed.
We’ve added new Play on iPhone buttons within each post. In case you were wondering, the Blubrry Player already supports the iPhone. The new iPhone buttons make it easy for iPhone users to consume your content on Blubrry.com.
We’re just getting started. Watch more more changes to Blubrry.com and the rest of the RawVoice communities!

On Friday we announced to the entire Blubrry Community the roll-out of our new and improved pre-advertising qualification survey. We have already seen a great number of you go in and complete the new survey.
Based on information we learned while meeting with National Media buyers we will be able to close the loop on information that is needed to properly represent your shows.
In the next few weeks we will be introducing a listener based survey that once combined with the data we have received from you via the advertising survey, and the new media statistics data that we are able to analyze we will be able to answer any question thrown at us about any show in the entire blubrry family.
We are not going to horde this information. The best part is all of this data collection will tie into a new service we will provide back to those of you that belong to one of our communities.
We believe in giving you added value tools you can use, and we feel the end product that we provide you through the RawVoice Exchange system will be unlike what is available today through any other new media community.

Angelo has been busy making some enhancements to the site, and we rolled out shortened URL’s for show links. So now all you need to remember is that your listing on the site is tied to you podcast keyword
Example: www.blubrry.com/keyword
Many of you had requested it and we agreed it was a change that needed to be made. Their are a lot more changes coming in the coming weeks.

What’s that? Its the latest improvement to the Blubrry stats system. It means that you can move your media files to a new url and still track it as a single file. Read more and discuss here.
This will be a very important feature if you ever have to change the location of your podcast media files.

Thanks to the hard work of Angelo Mandato we now have media stats integrated into the Blubrry community. So we can now turn your podcast on. And you can access your stats from your podcast settings right here on Blubrry.
This is a beta service. It is currently invitation only as we work out some early beta kinks and monitor the performance of the system.
I’ve written up a basic overview here. If you are interested in what we have to offer please read the instructions on that post to get an invite.
I’ve also created a Media Statistics Board on the forum to facilitate discussion and requests for help.
People have asked me what makes our stats service different from some other services. All the bells and whistles aside I can tell you that RawVoice is unique in that we have been committed to working with podcasters and their audiences on all levels since day one. We approach this service with that in mind. So customer service, performance and features are a priority.
If there’s something that you don’t understand or there’s a feature you would like to see added, please bang the boards and let us know.

As you may have heard in our recent Brrycast, our podcast statistics engine is running and providing stats on media files for a number of shows on ad deals as well as the RawVoice team.
As podcasters, we’re pretty critical on things like this. So Todd, Angelo, Brian and I have been using the system to track numbers on our shows for a little while now. We think the system is at a point where we can start opening it up to the wider community very soon. In order to do that we will need to make some changes to the settings page so that you are able to activate and then access stats for your shows that are members of the community.
In true Blubrry style, what you will see won’t be the most whiz bang interface the world ever invented. That’s not the point though. The goal is to give you meaningful stats from a reliable system. That means you’ll be able to track all of the files you add to the system on an overall and monthly basis for all of your episodes or by individual file. You will be able to track clients (like iTunes), platforms (Win, Mac, Linux) and geographic data.
We don’t like data vaults. So initially you can access print and pdf export views to all of your stats pages. We’re planning additional export options in the near future.
You will hear from us soon with an update to let you know when you can access the stats system and add your shows. Til then thanks for being patient. And thanks to our technical lead Angelo for working diligently to make this an excellent system.
